Along the street - to the left and to the right from the canteen - there was a public bath and storehouses, and the penalty isolator. It was one of usual camps. But there were regime camps (rezhlag). They were prisons with high walls, fences and bars on small windows. Here the system of reckoning did not act. Numbers were fixed on clothes. There were shackle camps (kandlag). Here convicts worked even in shackles. Along the route there are sticks about 70 centimeters with a little boards with numbers. These are not researching points - these are graves of builders. Not only un-guilty repressed were among convicts - struggle between criminals and "public enemies" went with variable success, but usually bandits ruled. It was hard for people, who did not have enough food in home front, military men, who went through the hell of fascist camps to fight against impudent bandits. Human life in camps cost nothing. But guards also had complex relationship. Two forces fought against each other. The chief of the camp and his staff, responsible for building is one thing. And exterior guard is another one. And if the chief needed work he did not kill though he was not merciful. Convoy guard did not care who to kill, some of them were sadists. Convoy guards and chiefs had different habits. In the camp on the river Taz a convict guilty in something was set to the watch tower in summer. Mosquitoes "gnaw" face, but it was impossible to move - a guard would shoot without a word. There was everything - diseases, traumas, sadism and murders.
